The New Hampshire golf season got its official start today (May 11th). It’s about a month late, but I’m thankful to be healthy and able to play at all.

I had an 6:40 am tee time, but luckily it was cold with a stiff breeze ( 42 degrees with 20+ mph gusts of wind) so I woke up quickly. They had us going off the back nine, and it took a bit to get my game together. I ended up play fairly well despite only hitting into a net for the last 2 months, and practicing only 6 feet perfectly flat putts since October.

It took a while to get warmed up with 2 double bogeys in the first 3 holes.
My second nine went much better with 3 pars

My handicap index is currently 17.6, my hope is to finish the season in the single digits. It’s a big drop, but I think I can get there playing 2 times a week.
