Took my first golf lesson in 15 years yesterday, then went golfing today. Didn’t have a chance to go work on the swing changes, so not surprisingly I had a very up and down round. I had 7 pars and a birdy, which is OK for me, but I also had 6 double bogeys, which is terrible for me.
So what am I working on?
- Not sliding my hips away from target on the back swing
- Keeping my hands out in front of my body
- Starting swing with my left leg opening up toward the target.
All these changes are to help me fight a reverse spine angle. Your spine should tilt toward the target on the back swing and mine was 🙁
When I get all those things right, I can really smack the ball well. I just need to keep at it.
